PYRY is a project on the feeling of cold. Absurd and yet simple: a book made of ice.

Photographs document extreme cold in the Arctic Circle, frozen as one-kilo sheets of ice. By using ice as a material, the book conveys the transience and fragility of its contents. Unlike other books, this one must be stored at a temperature below 0°C. The effort involved is symbolic of the efforts that must be made to preserve the Earth’s cold zones.
